NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE. Wheelwright applies rules that you set to data from third parties. Its ideas, screens, alerts and figures are information for you to evaluate. You decide every trade and you place it yourself, with your broker. Options involve substantial risk and are not suitable for every investor.
- 1. Who we are
- Wheelwright is published by Wheelwright Solutions LLC, a California limited liability company (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us. By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
- 2. What the app does, and does not do
- The app reads your positions, balances and transactions through a read-only broker connection, and reads market data from third-party vendors. It does not place, change or cancel orders, and it cannot move money. We are not a broker-dealer or an investment adviser, and we are not registered as either.
- 3. Data can be late or wrong
- Prices, option chains, greeks, earnings dates, dividends and account data come from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. Option chain data is typically as of the previous trading session’s close. Before you trade, check every figure that matters against your broker. We are not responsible for decisions made on data that turns out to be wrong.
- 4. Broker connections
- Broker connections are provided by SnapTrade. When you connect, you sign in directly with your broker; we never see your broker username or password. Your use of the connection is also governed by SnapTrade’s terms and your broker’s terms. You may disconnect at any time, from the app or from your broker.
- 5. Subscriptions
- Some features need a paid subscription, bought through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
- 6. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for your trading decisions, for the rules and settings you enter, for the security of your device, and for your tax position. Tax notes in the app are prompts for a conversation with your own tax adviser, not tax advice.
- 7. Acceptable use
- You may use the app for your own portfolios. You may not resell or redistribute the market data it shows, share or reuse a subscription receipt to give others access, attempt to get around the subscription or rate limits, reverse-engineer the app or its servers, or use it to break any law.
- 8. Ownership
- The app, its design and its code belong to us. Your data belongs to you, and it is stored on your device (see the privacy policy).
- 9. No warranty
- The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and uninterrupted availability.
- 10. Limits on our liability
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any trading loss, lost profit, or indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from your use of the app or its data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
- 11. Ending use
- You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it and cancelling any subscription through Apple. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms.
- 12. Changes
- We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.
- 13. Governing law
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
