A covered call tracker for E*TRADE, Robinhood, Fidelity and Schwab

The broker shows you the call, its price and its profit or loss. It doesn't show whether the call has crossed the roll trigger you set, which lot it covers, or what this month's premium adds up to. That is the gap a tracker fills.

What the broker shows, and what it leaves out

The broker screen showsIt does not show
Each open call, its mark, its day change and its P/LWhich lot of shares the call covers, once you have more than one
The option's delta, if you open the chainWhether that delta is past the trigger you decided on when you sold it
Days to expirationWhether you are inside the window where you said you would manage instead of hold
Order history, one order at a timePremium collected this month, per account, net of buy-backs
Resting orders, on their own tabWhich open calls have a buy-to-close order working and which don't
Cost basis per position, by the broker's ruleYour effective basis per lot after every premium collected on it

That's not a complaint about the broker. The rules you sell calls by are yours, and the broker has never heard them.

What a tracker has to do

How the connection works

Wheelwright connects through SnapTrade, a read-only connection service. You sign in on your broker's own page, so the app never sees your broker password. The access it gets can read positions, cash and orders. It has no way to place, change or cancel an order; there is no order-entry code in the app. E*TRADE, Robinhood, Fidelity and Schwab accounts have all been connected and read this way. Your positions and history stay on your phone. There is no Wheelwright account and no server holding your book.

What it shows each morning

Option chains, greeks and implied volatility are from the most recent settled market close, not a live feed; your positions are priced from your broker. Market-data figures say which session they came from. You check the live bid at your broker before you trade, which is where you place the order anyway.

How Wheelwright handles this

Connect the account once, set your rules once, and the Radar sorts every open call into the buckets above each day. Check a trade shows one line per rule, with the number measured next to your limit, for an open call or one you are only considering.

It is read-only. It connects to your broker through SnapTrade to read positions, cash and resting orders, and it cannot place, change or cancel an order. Option chains, greeks and implied volatility are from the most recent settled market close, under the data provider's license; your positions are priced from your broker. Market-data figures say which session they came from. You can load a sample book without connecting anything and look at every screen first. Wheelwright Pro is $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, with a one-month free trial.

Coming to the App Store What it does and does not do
